Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced in a video message that Israel and the United States have launched a coordinated operation to eliminate what he described as an existential threat posed by the terrorist regime in Iran, reports customreceipt.com with reference to The Times of Israel.
“Brothers and sisters, citizens of Israel, very recently Israel and the United States began an operation to remove the existential threat emanating from the terrorist regime in Iran,” Netanyahu said, emphasizing that the campaign targets longstanding threats to both nations.
The Prime Minister highlighted that for 47 years, the Iranian regime under the ayatollahs has declared “Death to Israel” and “Death to America,” shedding Israeli blood, killing numerous Americans, and carrying out mass violence against its own people.
Netanyahu expressed gratitude to “our great friend, President Donald Trump,” for his historic leadership in supporting these efforts. He stressed that the joint actions aim to create conditions for the Iranian people to seize their own destiny. “The time has come for all segments of the Iranian population—Persians, Kurds, Azerbaijanis, Baloch, and Ahvazis—to cast off the yoke of tyranny and build a free and peaceful Iran,” Netanyahu stated.
Addressing the citizens of Israel, he urged compliance with instructions from the home front command. “In the coming days during Operation ‘Lion’s Roar,’ patience and resilience will be required from all of us,” he said.
A nationwide warning about potential missile attacks from Iran has been issued, with residents taking shelter. The IDF command reported that air defense systems are actively intercepting incoming missiles.
