Chipotle Friday the 13th BOGO for Tattooed Fans: Free Meals Across U.S., Canada & Europe

Chipotle celebrates tattooed fans with a Friday the 13th BOGO deal in the U.S., Canada, UK, France, and Germany, plus special Swae Lee tattoos in Miami.

Tattooed fans of Chipotle will have a special reason to visit their local restaurants this Friday the 13th, as the popular chain is bringing back its fan-favorite buy-one-get-one promotion for customers with tattoos, reports customreceipt.com. The offer will be valid from 3 to 4 p.m. local time at participating Chipotle locations in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. Guests can redeem the deal by showing permanent, temporary, or even hand-drawn tattoos when purchasing an entrée. Each entrée purchased allows the customer to receive one free menu item, up to a maximum of five free items per order.

The promotion draws inspiration from the viral “tatted like a Chipotle bag” trend, which compares fans’ tattoos to the distinctive writing found on Chipotle’s paper bags. The phrase gained widespread attention after it was used to describe Adam Levine in 2019. The chain’s press release also notes that the offer is tied to the Friday the 13th “flash tattoo” tradition, when tattoo shops create special pre-designed tattoo sheets specifically for the day.

Stephanie Perdue, Chipotle’s Interim Chief Marketing Officer, stated that the promotion strengthens the brand’s connection to the tattoo community. “Bringing this promotion back for Friday the 13th further establishes our connection with the tattoo community,” Perdue said in a press release.

Miami customers have an additional incentive: a limited-edition temporary tattoo flash sheet co-created with hip-hop artist Swae Lee. The sheet is available exclusively at the Midtown Miami Chipotle location from 3 to 4 p.m. on Friday, March 13, while supplies last. “‘Tatted like a Chipotle bag’ is really about self-expression,” Swae Lee commented. “It was cool to bring it into the real world and create designs that actually feel like me.”

According to the company, the first Chipotle BOGO deal for tattooed customers in 2025 resulted in the chain’s highest-ever sales during the 3 to 4 p.m. non-peak hour, highlighting the popularity of the promotion among tattooed fans.
