Peter Parker returns to cinemas this summer as Marvel releases the first full trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, presented by Tom Holland from the top of the Empire State Building in New York, reports customreceipt.com via Marvel.
The rollout of the trailer was preceded by a coordinated global campaign that unfolded over 24 hours, during which fans shared fragments of the footage online. The sequence culminated in an official reveal on Wednesday morning, when Holland introduced the complete trailer, symbolically launching a new chapter for the character and the cinematic version of New York City.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day continues the storyline after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, which became a global box office success. According to the film’s premise, four years have passed since those events, placing Peter Parker in a radically altered reality. Now an adult, he lives in isolation after choosing to erase himself from the memories of those closest to him.
Operating in a city that no longer recognizes him, Peter has fully committed himself to crime-fighting as Spider-Man. His role has evolved into a constant responsibility, with no personal life remaining outside the suit. As criminal activity escalates across New York, the increasing pressure begins to affect him in unexpected ways, triggering a physical transformation that poses a direct threat to his survival.
At the same time, a new pattern of crimes emerges, signaling the rise of a powerful adversary. The trailer introduces elements of this looming threat, positioning it as one of the most formidable challenges Spider-Man has encountered in the current cinematic arc.
The film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and features Tom Holland reprising his role as Spider-Man. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled for an exclusive theatrical release on July 31, 2026.
