Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza will become a real restaurant at American Dream in East Rutherford, New Jersey, in 2027. The permanent venue will combine food, arcade games, animatronics and horror-inspired multiplayer experiences, customreceipt.com reports.
The project was first detailed by Variety. American Dream is developing the restaurant with ScottGames, which controls the Five Nights at Freddy’s intellectual property.
What will be inside the real Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza
Unlike a temporary themed installation, the venue is planned as an operating quick-service restaurant. Visitors will order food, play arcade games and watch animatronic characters perform.
The concept also includes multiplayer survival-horror experiences inspired by Five Nights at Freddy’s. Developers want longtime fans to recognize details from the fictional pizzeria immediately.
Guests are expected to find several major attractions:
- Freddy and the Fazbear Band performing on the Main Stage;
- Foxy the Pirate appearing at Pirate Cove;
- arcade games based around the franchise;
- multiplayer horror gaming experiences;
- a working restaurant serving food to visitors.
The animatronic shows are among the project’s central features. The venue is being designed as a permanent experience rather than a short-term pop-up.
Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza opening date and location
The restaurant is scheduled to open during 2027 at American Dream in East Rutherford. An exact opening date has not yet been announced.

American Dream already hosts major family attractions near New York City. Its entertainment portfolio includes theme parks, water attractions and other indoor destinations.
Why authenticity matters for the FNAF restaurant
Atreyu Alcantar, American Dream’s creative lead for the attraction, told Variety that authenticity is central to development.
The team wants the animatronics and food to meet expectations created by the games. The aim is not simply to build a themed set. Developers want visitors to experience Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza as a functioning location.
The project extends a franchise that began with Scott Cawthon’s horror games. It later expanded into novels, graphic novels and feature films.
