Dr Pepper Ice Cream Float could become one of the brand’s biggest soda launches of 2027. Reports say the dessert-inspired drink will combine classic Dr Pepper with vanilla, caramel and butterscotch notes. It is expected to reach U.S. stores in early 2027, as customreceipt.com reports. Delish and other food publications have also reported details about the planned release.
Dr Pepper Ice Cream Float will come in 2 versions
The reported lineup includes regular Dr Pepper Ice Cream Float and a Zero Sugar version. The flavor is designed to recreate the character of a classic soda float without adding actual ice cream.
According to Delish, the recipe combines Dr Pepper’s familiar flavor profile with butterscotch, caramel and vanilla ice cream notes. The publication says the drink is expected at major U.S. retailers in early 2027.

The ice cream float idea is not entirely new for the brand. Dr Pepper has previously worked with Blue Bell on Dr Pepper Float Ice Cream. That 2023 product mixed vanilla ice cream with Dr Pepper-flavored sherbet.
Dr Pepper’s German website also features a Vanilla Ice Cream Float recipe built around soda and vanilla ice cream. The upcoming bottled flavor would effectively turn that dessert concept into a ready-to-drink product.
