ARC Raiders 1.13.0 Headwinds: Solo vs Squads, Buried City Birds, and Epic Trophy Rewards

January Update 1.13.0 adds Solo vs Squads, Trophy Displays, bird hazards in Buried City, new quests, Epic Augments, and major gameplay fixes for Raiders.

Heavy sandstorms have been sweeping across the Rust Belt, creating hazardous conditions for Raiders, while unusual flocks of birds have been observed congregating around chimneys in Buried City, storing shiny objects and increasing encounters with ARC enemies, reports customreceipt.com via ARC Raiders. Additionally, rogue Raiders have been spotted taking on entire squads alone, adding a new layer of danger for players exploring the region.

The January 1.13.0 update introduces a range of new features and fixes designed to enhance both PvP and PvE experiences. The Solo vs Squads matchmaking option allows experienced Raiders level 40 and above to engage full squads directly, with a +20% bonus XP for successful extracts or defeats. This provides a high-risk, high-reward challenge for players seeking intense PvP combat.

A new Trophy Display system has also been added, enabling Raiders to collect parts from increasingly dangerous ARC groups to complete a five-stage Display Case. Rewards for each stage include blueprints, Raider Tokens, and upon full completion, additional items such as the Howl emote, a guitar, and 300,000 Coins. This project is ongoing and unaffected by Expedition resets.

Buried City now features permanent bird activity, including nests in chimneys and the collection of trinkets, which may be examined by players. The map will rotate weekly, introducing bird traps, ziplines, more aerial ARC encounters, and increased player combat around rooftops.

The update also adds two new types of Epic Augments, seven new quests, and open party and squad invite options to allow seamless multiplayer joining. Additionally, a variety of bug fixes improve gameplay stability, including achievement tracking corrections, ARC behavior adjustments, map collision fixes, UI improvements, and enhancements to movement, audio, and matchmaking systems.

Key gameplay adjustments include improved ARC obstacle traversal, better Leaper locomotion, proper labelling of scavengable Shredders, Snitch behavior corrections, and Spotter pathfinding fixes. Audio updates address missing voice lines and connectivity issues, while maps like Dam Battlegrounds, Buried City, Spaceport, and Stella Montis have undergone collision, spawn, and extraction fixes to ensure smoother player navigation.

Other notable changes include the addition of mouse smoothing, gamepad rebinding, adjustments to weapon and container spawn rates, and the implementation of a three-strike progressive ban system for anti-cheat enforcement. Known issues remain with the Solo vs Squads pop-up, cosmetic display errors, helmet variant previews, and occasional skill point misreporting, though these do not affect gameplay significantly.
