The LEGO® Group and Nintendo have officially announced a creative collaboration that brings LEGO® items to the popular game Animal Crossing: New Horizons for both the Nintendo Switch™ and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 systems, reports customreceipt.com via Nintendo official announcement. Starting January 15, 2026, the free update version 3.0 will introduce a variety of LEGO®-themed furniture and decorative items into the game, allowing players to purchase them with in-game currency (Bells) through Nook Shopping, accessible via the Nook Stop terminal located inside Resident Services.
Among the new additions, players can acquire LEGO® arcade machines, LEGO® beds, LEGO® DIY workbenches, LEGO® fireplaces, and other items, all of which are available in multiple colors to enable customized combinations for interior and exterior design. The update aims to expand the creative options within Animal Crossing: New Horizons, giving players more tools to personalize their islands and homes with recognizable LEGO® aesthetics.
For those interested in the Nintendo Switch 2 version, the update and LEGO® items will also be compatible with Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, providing continuity for players upgrading to the new system. Nintendo has detailed that the LEGO® items can be collected gradually through Nook Shopping using Bells, maintaining the familiar in-game economy mechanics for both Switch and Switch 2 players.
This collaboration marks a notable crossover between two iconic brands in gaming and construction toys, offering both new and returning players opportunities to creatively expand their virtual environments while interacting with familiar LEGO® designs.
