A new trailer released for the event showcases the Puerto Rican singer and several dancers performing under the flamboyant royal poinciana tree, a celebrated symbol of Puerto Rico, to his hit track “BAILE INoLVIDABLE,” which translates to “Unforgettable Dance.”
The minute-long trailer was described by Apple Music as “an open invitation, welcoming the entire world—no matter who you are or where you are from—to join Bad Bunny for his monumental Super Bowl Halftime performance and get excited for the rhythm, unity, and cultural richness that only Bad Bunny can bring to the global stage.” The visual emphasizes dance, movement, and the vibrant energy characteristic of the artist’s music.
Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, known professionally as Bad Bunny, was announced in September 2025 as the headliner for the NFL’s marquee halftime event. Upon his selection, Bad Bunny expressed that performing at the Super Bowl carried deep personal and cultural significance. “What I’m feeling goes beyond myself. It’s for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown … this is for my people, my culture, and our history,” he stated at the time.
Despite his global acclaim, the announcement was met with some criticism from conservative voices who cited his Spanish-language songs, stage performances, and public support for immigrants in the United States. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell addressed the concerns during an October press conference, affirming that the selection was deliberate. “He’s one of the leading and most popular entertainers in the world,” Goodell said, adding, “I’m not sure we’ve ever selected an artist where we didn’t have some blowback or criticism. It’s pretty hard to do when you have literally hundreds of millions of people that are watching.”
