Taylor Swift Calls Justin Baldoni “Bitch” in Text to Blake Lively Amid 2026 ‘It Ends With Us’ Lawsuit

Taylor Swift’s texts referring to Justin Baldoni as an expletive surface in Blake Lively’s ongoing lawsuit over “It Ends With Us.”

Pop singer Taylor Swift reportedly referred to actor Justin Baldoni using an expletive in a text exchange with Blake Lively, according to documents unsealed Tuesday as part of Lively’s ongoing legal case, reports customreceipt.com via NBC. The texts were revealed in connection with Lively’s lawsuit against Baldoni, her co-star in the 2024 film “It Ends With Us,” as well as Wayfarer Studios and other parties, which has been ongoing for over a year.

Court documents filed by Lively’s legal team in U.S. District Court in Manhattan show that Swift allegedly wrote, “I think this bitch knows something is coming because he’s gotten out his tiny violin.” Lively’s attorneys confirmed the text but disputed claims from Baldoni’s defense that it was made while Swift and Lively discussed an upcoming New York Times article reporting a so-called “retaliatory ‘smear campaign’” by Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios’ CEO against Lively.

Representatives for Swift did not immediately comment on the texts Tuesday night. Swift had licensed a song for “It Ends With Us” but was not involved in the film’s production, her spokesperson stated last year when she was briefly considered as a potential witness in the trial.

Sigrid McCawley, part of Lively’s legal team, described the filing as containing “damning” statements from other individuals regarding Baldoni’s conduct. “The newly unsealed, damning documents show the consistent reaction numerous women, cast, crew, executives, partners, co-host and even his own PR team had working with Justin Baldoni,” McCawley said.

Requests for comment to Baldoni’s publicist and his attorney in the federal case were not answered Tuesday night. Wayfarer Studios also declined to comment.

The motion involves re-filing public versions of exhibits from an earlier motion in which Lively’s attorneys opposed a summary judgment. Baldoni’s legal team has previously described Lively’s allegations as “completely false, outrageous and intentionally salacious.”

Lively first filed a complaint with the California Civil Rights Department on December 20, 2024, accusing Baldoni of sexual harassment on set and retaliatory actions after she raised concerns about his behavior. She filed a federal lawsuit against Baldoni, a co-founder and co-owner of Wayfarer Studios and the film’s director, on December 31, 2024. An amended complaint in February expanded allegations to include the CEO of Wayfarer and other parties.

Baldoni counter-sued for $400 million, but a federal judge dismissed the countersuit in June and formally closed it in November after the amended complaint was not filed by the court deadline. Lively’s amended complaint, which does not specify damages, seeks compensatory and punitive remedies, alleging a “multi-tiered plan” by Baldoni and his associates to damage her reputation.

In the film, Lively portrays Lily Bloom, a woman who moves to Boston to open a flower shop and marries neurosurgeon Ryle Kincaid, played by Baldoni. The story centers on Bloom’s decision to break a cycle of domestic abuse and pursue divorce.
