Three people were killed and several others injured when a woman drove her car into the 99 Ranch Market in Westwood on Thursday afternoon, reports customreceipt.com. The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) stated that the crash occurred around 12:11 p.m. Four individuals were transported to local hospitals, including two in critical condition and two in fair condition. Earlier, the driver struck a bicyclist about a block away before colliding with the store.
Emergency responders removed the silver sedan from the building to free trapped individuals. All three victims who died were inside the bakery at the time of the impact. Their identities have not been released publicly, but the LAFD confirmed they were a 42-year-old woman and two men, ages 55 and 30. Both the driver and the bicyclist declined hospital treatment. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) stated that the incident is not being investigated as intentional.
First responders arrived quickly to assist the injured and secure the scene. Firefighters and paramedics worked to stabilize those trapped inside the store, while police established a perimeter around the area to prevent further accidents.
