Skittles Gummy Crystals launch with crunchy coating and 10 fruit flavors

Skittles Gummy Crystals launch November 2 with Original and Tropical Splash flavors before reaching selected stores and expanding nationwide in 2027.

Skittles Gummy Crystals are bringing a new texture to one of America’s best-known candy brands. The new sweets combine a soft gummy center with a tangy, crunchy crystal coating. Early access begins November 2 before a wider retail release, customreceipt.com reports.

The launch was officially announced by Mars. Early taste tests published by Delish describe a candy that keeps the familiar Skittles flavor but changes the eating experience considerably.

Skittles Gummy Crystals come in 2 varieties

Mars is launching Original and Tropical Splash versions. Each contains 5 flavors.

VarietyFlavors
OriginalStrawberry, Lemon, Grape, Orange, Green Apple
Tropical SplashFruit Punch, Pink Lemonade, Mango Melon, Pineapple, Watermelon

Original stays close to the classic Skittles lineup. Tropical Splash moves further away from familiar combinations with Pink Lemonade and Mango Melon.

The coating adds a light tang rather than turning the candy into a fully sour product. The larger gummy center also gives each piece a more substantial chew.

When do Skittles Gummy Crystals come out?

The release will happen in several stages:

  • November 2: limited early access through TikTok Shop
  • Later in 2026: availability at selected retailers
  • 2027: nationwide US rollout

The TikTok Shop release will be offered as a special bundle while supplies last. Mars has not yet published a complete list of retailers carrying the candy later in 2026.

That means most shoppers may need to wait until 2027 for broad availability.

Are Skittles Gummy Crystals like Nerds Gummy Clusters?

The comparison is difficult to avoid. Both products combine a gummy center with a crunchy exterior.

However, early reviews suggest the experience is noticeably different. Skittles Gummy Crystals are larger, with more gummy relative to the crunchy coating. The fruit flavors also remain strongly associated with traditional Skittles.

Mars describes the product as a response to growing demand for candies offering several textures in a single bite.

For Skittles, the launch also expands an increasingly varied lineup that already includes Gummies, Fuego, POP’d and Littles. Gummy Crystals take the brand into one of the candy aisle’s fastest-growing texture trends.
