Noah Kahan premieres “The Great Divide” video during the Grammys and announces his 2026 North American tour, sharing childhood flashbacks and Easter eggs.

Vermont-born singer-songwriter Noah Kahan surprised fans during the 68th annual Grammy Awards broadcast by debuting the music video for his new single, “The Great Divide,” reportscustomreceipt.com via Boston Globe. The video, produced in partnership with Mastercard, also revealed Kahan’s plans for a North American tour this summer in support of his upcoming fourth studio album, The Great Divide, set for release on April 24. Tour dates and cities have yet to be announced, but fans can register for updates via Kahan’s official website.

Kahan, who previously received Grammy nominations for Best New Artist in 2024 and Best Country Duo/Group Performance in 2025 for “Cowboys Cry Too” with Kelsea Ballerini, returned to the awards ceremony to share his latest project. The music video depicts Kahan walking through a convenience store, riding in a car, and running across a field, interweaving present-day moments with childhood flashbacks alongside a longtime friend. Observant viewers may notice Easter eggs throughout the video, including the album’s release date appearing as a gas station price and a bulletin board post referencing “Northern Attitude,” a track from his 2022 album Stick Season.

In a social media announcement about the album, Kahan discussed how his upbringing in Vermont shaped his creative process. He shared that portions of the album were written near a pond in Guilford, Vermont, emphasizing that the work represents his most personal exploration of the people, places, and emotions that have influenced his life and music.

Mastercard previously collaborated with artists at the Grammys, notably premiering Lady Gaga’s “Abracadabra” video during the broadcast, a song that went on to win Best Dance Pop Recording.
